Entryway Transformation

We have been wanting to transform and renovate our entryway for over a year now and are SO happy with how it turned out! We still can’t believe the before and after of this space! We ditched the outdated mirrored closet doors, added custom built-in’s, added an archway to open up the space, put board & batten on the opposite wall, purchased a brand new front door and sidelight, and installed checkerboard tiles ourselves! Hope you like it as much as we do!

Transformed out entryway with new checkedboard tiles, custom built-in closet system, new front door, and an archway!

Photos of the Space:
Here are a few before & after images of what the space used to look like vs. what it looks like now! Proud of this one!

Checkerboard Tile Information:
Purchased from TilesInspired Located East of Toronto
White “Marble” – Statuario
Black “Marble” – Marquina
Grout – Unsanded Charcoal from Lowe’s (So happy we went with a dark at an entry so it won’t get dirty over time)
Tiles cut by The Mercon Group Ltd. located east of Toronto

Built-In’s:
White Oak Wood by Crown Point Furniture located in Hamilton, Ontario
Matte Black Hardware purchased from Rona
Shiplap from Rona
Hooks

Baskets:

Door:
The door company we used we actually wouldn’t recommend, but we purchased a 3/4 glass door with 1×3 grates. It is black on the outside and white on the inside (We are debating painting it black inside too to tie it all together!)

Light Fixture: Semi-Flush Mount Gold Light
